Salary: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
Under the direct supervision of the Environmental Health Director, the Associate Sanitarian candidate will perform technical field inspections within Environmental Health Programs to ensure compliance with Montgomery County / State of Illinois rules and regulations. Field inspections and investigations may include food establishment inspections, on-site private sewage and water well inspections nuisance investigations, and/or vector investigations.
Qualifications
- An Associate's Degree or Bachelor鈥檚 Degree including nine credit hours in the biological or related sciences is required.
- Ability to perform technical inspections and make corrective recommendations following such inspections.
- Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely, both written and oral.
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Access and Excel.
- Current valid driver鈥檚 license, insurance and reliable motor vehicle.
- Ability to work outside in extreme conditions.
- Flexibility to work necessary hours to meet the position requirements, including evenings and/or weekends as assigned.
